After getting cussed out by one of my favorite bloggers, I have decided to come back to my blog and put in some serious work. Like the title states, I will be highly skitzo on this blog again. Basketball, Football, music, and me. very random and very me. What you see is what you get. So I'm back people!!!! I have missed yall so much too.

And with that being said, I am back!! Still having issues but honestly who doesn't?? So for all those that do still talk to me, hi lol. Ok work issues, and love life issues. I'mma address the love life first cuz the lyrics I posted are relevant and I dont wanna confuse people lol.


Where did my love go wrong? I feel like I do everything I can to keep a great relationship going or at least building one but something always backfires. I feel like Earl from "My Name is Earl". I do all these good things for other people and I still get the short end of the stick. Unlike Earl, I won't give up because: 1) I'm a hopeless romantic, and 2)I want to be in love again. I swear relationships are really like a full time job and so far I'm in need of more hours.....




Now to my job. Ugh these muthafuckas I swear will not give me any good reason for me to feel like is justifying enough for me to realize why I'm not getting any hours. I got plans this summer and please believe I will go through with all of them. I really feel like Cam'Ron right now so on that note I will finish this blog off with another song.

Hey people. So I'm thinking about packing up my blog and moving to the rival page wordpress.com. This came about when I found out that I can download the app to my blackberry and blog from there. I think that is the greatest thing because I'm not always as creative on the computer as I used to be. So with that said, in the next week or so this blog will become a personal blog until i decide i wanna start two on wordpress.

If the powers that be read this, come up with a blogger app for the blackberry and I promise I'll be back

New Music!!!!

Ok so obviously some of my friends are hard of hearing lol. I told yall to follow my sister for up and coming artists if you want new music. On twitter she is amoreSTEPH. Ok on to the music. So as yall already know I can get possibly any cd in the world if it has a mp3 format to it. So in my usual online travels, I came across some new artists with the help of some friends and Twitter. First off shoutouts to the homie Big Sean, Shawn Chrystopher, Curren$y, Carlos St John, Echo, and my homie Castle. You can follow all of them on twitter if u like and i have links to their blogs and webpages.


First off, Monica's new album is the truth!!! Her voice is so timeless and she can go over any beat. Too bad it was only ten tracks but they are ten strong tracks. I wish my former wifey the best with this album. I will post the link at the end of the post.

Secondly, Big Sean is somebody to watch. He has that swag Kanye overflows people with and I don't know if the world is ready for 2 Kanye's but Big Sean isn't Kanye. He's Big Sean and he is a big deal. Flow for days and very witty with the punchlines.

Third, Echo is a rapper from the west coast holding it down like he still lives in NYC. Phenomenal flow and his delivery is right on time. Hopefully He can become the second coming of Pac and bring the West back to superstar status.

Curren$y I have no idea why I let him slip. I don't know what label he's signed to I think he's a Young Money artist but he is ridiculous! This Smokee Robinson Mixtape is fiyahhhhhh!!!!


Last but not least, My homie Castle. follow him on twitter because he's a cool ass dude and his production is redundantly hot. Winter Solstice and Out There EP are hot. I don't usually just listen to instrumentals but Winter Solstice had me at work last night ready to write a hot 16 and I can't even remember if I ever have written a hot 16 lmaooo.

What Happened to Butch McRae??

So I bet you're wondering, "who the hell is Butch McRae?", well he is a fictional character from the movie "Blue Chips". Anfernee Hardaway (who is also in my top 5 players of all time) played Butch in this movie back in '94. So how does Butch relate to me u ask?? Well honestly Butch is in all of us. Butch was the guy who had all of the talent but wanted to make sure his family was taken care of before he was a star. I go by the name of Butch McRae on the basketball court because I care about the win. I don't pay attention too much to what I do on the court. I play hard and I want to win to stay on the court.


Anybody that knows me knows that playing in the NBA was one of my dreams. It was a dream deferred by my own accord. I didn't put in the necessary work to make it happen and now I realize that. I didn't want to be a star like Kobe or Lebron. I was the role player. I'm the John Paxson, Steve Kerr, BJ Armstrong, Derek Fisher, Robert Horry of the team. I am more than willing to take the big shot at the end of the game for the win and carry the loss on my back and in my heart forever.


I know you're asking, well what about the title? Well thats a good question. What did happen to Butch?? Well honestly he didn't take care of his body like an athlete should. His knees hurt all the time and so does his back. He's still active with basketball. He coaches, plays pick-up games, and is looking into coaching a high school team. Butch could've been the best that ever played the point guard position. In his mind he is still.


So how does this apply to me? Well because we all can relate to a character in a movie. No matter the plot or the background of the character, there is a part of that person in us. I am Butch McRae. I am a former basketball player and future coach. Ask about me.

And I feel great. I haven't blogged in a minute because I wasn't motivated. I'm coming back though. I have some new music to talk about and the playoffs are starting. I share a birthday with Chuck Norris, and Osama Bin Laden. Lol so if you know me who do you compare me to?? lmaoooooo I'm just playing but who in the world would you want to share a birthday with?? That's some good research. Go find out what heroes and villains you share a birthday with and come back and tell me.

I broke my Lent. Ok yall can lash out at me after this. People have to realize for someone to openly admit that they are not openly religious to try to become somewhat religious again is hard. 40 days with no new music?? And I don't have my desktop to listen to what I already have?? Are you serious??!?!?! Yea as you can tell I am very into my music. My spiritual life is coming along though. I have started reading the bible and I have a new friend that's a pastor so he is gonna help me interpret my readings and answer my questions. So if you feel like I'm just making excuses then honestly Fuck You. Don't tell me how to get right with God when you tightroping the line too. Remember Only God can Judge me. Keep your shit to yourself.

Lent

So if you really know me you know that I'm not a truly religious person. Well that is about to change. This is my first time participating in Lent and I will be giving up the internet for 40 days. Its not a biggie to me because I know I can do this. So my blog will suffer and so will my basketball team on facebook and my twitter life. Hopefully yall will stick by my side regardless and after these 40 days I will more than likely be coming back only to my blog and twitter lol. Love yall and behave and if you know how to reach me use it. Oh and I wont log on to yahoo, aim, or google talk on my blackberry cuz u know thats cheating lol. Why did I post this?? Well number one this is my jam and number two because its relevant. How you may ask? Well think about your best days. When you're on a good feeling, nobody can bring you down right?? Well that's a beautiful bliss. Anything can bring this moment on too. A call from a loved one, a special text from you're significant other, watching your child take his/her first steps or say their first word. Getting that promotion at work that you busted your ass for. Don't take these moments for granted at all. Let these moments and opportunites carry you through bad times and trying situations because it will always get better.

Shoutouts

I feel like I'm finishing up my album and I have to throw my shoutouts in the book so here we go.


First of I'd like to thank God for allowing me to see these 28 years of my life and allowing me to learn from the mistakes I've made and the friends that I've earned and lost.

Shoutout and a big RIP to my Grandmother Yasmin. Without her and my mother I would be a shell of a man. Big big shoutout to my son cuz without him I really have nothing. Another shoutout to my Aunt for being not just my aunt but my big sis. I love u dearly.

Big ups to my twitter crew cuz without yall I wouldnt laugh as hard as I do on a daily basis. Special Shoutout to my Valentine. No more words need to be said ;-).

Music Review #1: Jaheim- Another Round

So Jaheim is back and he's making sure that Teddy Pendergrass sound stays in R&B. With "Another Round", he uses his knowledge of the business to put together a fantastic album. Infectious beats, simple hooks, and his voice combine for a great combination. His first single, "Ain't Leaving Without You" is a sample heavy track and grows on you. You're not really used to hearing a good uptempo Jaheim track. "Just in Case" was the last one he had that was a hit so its good for him to go back to the formula that got him his reputation. "Another Round" which is the title track, gives u kind of a preview to Jamie Foxx's "Blame it". Talking about buying the drinks and getting to know a beautiful woman while at the bar is usually the setup for a single man. I like this album and Jah evevn hooked back up with Jadakiss for the "Ain't Leavin' without You" remix. Strong effort even for 13 tracks. So worth the buy if you're a Jaheim fan and if not, then become one.
